The Vendor is required to provide a seismic recording system to be used in the department.
- This is a device used to measure and record ground vibrations and seismic activity in three dimensions: vertical (up and down), north-south, and east-west.
- This will be a multi-nodal system with a peak response of 5 Hz along with at least 64 GB of data storage.
- The system must have a wide range of sampling rates between 250 and 1000 Hz.
- The quantities and components of the Seismic Recording System are subject to change at the discretion of the University or the department.
- System must have internal Global Positioning System based timing
- Must include three component data recording
- System must include three component ground velocity sensors with vertical, northsouth and east-west components
- Must have 64 Gigabytes of storage capacity
- Must have a peak response of 5 Hz
- Must not weigh more than 10 kilograms
- Must be waterproof to IP68 specifications
- Operating temperature must be -40 to 70 degrees Centigrade
- Must have 32-bit ADC resolution
- Timing accuracy must be at least 30 microseconds
- GPS Timing standard is 1 ppm
- System dynamic range must be at least 140 Decibels
- Must include a two wire cable that can be connected to external battery.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
