The vendor required to provide generate is an application based upon common education data standards (CEDS) that facilitates the submission of files to the agency.
1. CEDS data warehouse architecture review and redesign
• Deliver a comprehensive advisory report on the CEDS data warehouse architecture for department.
• Recommend streamlined process workflows showing elimination of redundancies.
• Diagram and document future state data warehouse processes.
2. ETL development and documentation package
• Development and oversight of ETL processes for approximately 82 EDFacts files into generate.
• A complete set of process and procedure documentation, including step-by-step training guides for department staff.
• Delivery of staff training sessions and provide ongoing support to department staff related to ETL operations.
• Troubleshoot data migration issues within generate.
• Troubleshoot data validation checks.
3. ETL processes for migration of the CEDS data warehouse
• Develop workflows and processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) tables and views to the new CEDS data warehouse.
• Develop implementation plans for extending the CEDS data model in the event that the department statewide longitudinal data system (SLDS) data warehouse does not align with the CEDS data model.
4. Generate data retrieval
• Extract all data from the CEDS data model that is needed for generate and the ETL from the existing access database used for EDFacts reporting into the generate database.
