Virtual Desktop Solution

The vendor required to provide virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) system that can deliver applications and desktops to university faculty, staff and students.
- The system will be used for both individually assigned and openly available resources to facilitate the needs of both business and academic groups.
- It will be utilized to deliver a wide range of applications from categories including statistical and data analytics, mathematics, engineering, geospatial, cad and productivity suites.
- The need for graphic intensive applications will also be required for cad, geospatial and creative software applications.
- Support for both persistent (dedicated) and non-persistent (pooled) desktops is necessary in order to enable the widest range of access for our faculty, staff and students.
- Weber state prefers an on-premise solution that is hosted on hardware within our datacenter however we are open to reviewing cloud-based solutions.
