The vendor required to provide EMS billing software for include:
• Patient statements – cost should include the mailing of at least three patient statements per claim.
• Insurance discovery – software should have integrated insurance discovery tools built-in that can be utilized an unlimited number of times, at claim-level, at no additional cost, and without leaving the software.
• Insurance eligibility – software should have integrated insurance eligibility tools built-in that can be utilized an unlimited number of times, at claim-level, at no additional cost, and without leaving the software.
• Ems charts integration – software should be able to accept charts from EMS charts via web service at no additional cost.
• Chart and claim reconciliation – software should be able to, via a single built-in report, reconcile charts and claims to ensure all expected charts were imported and a claim was properly generated for all such charts.
• Address scrubbing – software should be able to scrub all patient mailing addresses as well as trip origin and destination addresses for USPS matching.
• Dashboard – software should have a user dashboard which displays all needed information for each user’s workflow to include claims assigned to the individual user and statuses of all claims (both submitted and to-be submitted) such as those needing follow-up for not having been adjudicated and denials.
• Reporting – built-in reporting options to include canned reports as well the ability to build reporting “dashboards” which will display reporting data in real-time.
• Awarded proposer shall provide training and implementation of software.
• All software that is provide as a result of this award shall be in compliance with county’s technology.
