Sign Language Interpreting Services

The vendor is required to provide to assist with providing both consecutive and simultaneous sign language interpretation services on an as-needed basis for various formats, including:
• General education and special education classrooms
• Related service sessions (e.g., speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc.)
• In-person interpretation at school meetings (e.g., IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, etc.)
• Field trips and extracurricular activities
• School-wide assemblies and events
• Virtual interpretation via telephone or video conferencing platforms (e.g., zoom, microsoft teams, google meet)
• Emergency or unscheduled interpretation requests with the ability to mobilize on short notice.
- Assign interpreters who are fluent in american sign language (ASL), or preferred mode(s) of communication, and knowledgeable in educational interpreting.
- Provide sign language interpreters and interpreter services that meet the diverse communication needs of students, employees, and families who use american sign language (ASL) or other visual communication systems
