The Vendor is required to provide sign language interpreting services for on an as needed basis.
- General requirements
• Provide interpreter services, as requested, within forty-eight (48) hour notice.
• Indicate their hours of availability or if they have any hour limitations. (Flexible, after 4:00 pm, etc.)
• Indicate competency level (certified, pre-certified, non-certified or other) of recommended interpreter.
• The ability to provide sign language interpreters of various foreign languages and indicate which languages.
• Agency or firm that supplies personnel for interpreter services, shall provide comprehensive management and coordination of scheduling, personnel support, quality assurance screening for competency level of interpreters, professional development and staff supervision of all interpreting assignments.
• Assume all responsibilities for interpreters pertaining to payroll accounts, worker’s compensation and general liability coverage.
• The assignment record shall be a time sheet recording actual contact hours worked, be signed and dated by using authorized county representative at time of service.
• Weekend, evening and holiday assignment must be invoiced at the same rate as during normal business day, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm.
