- Develop and implement an updated Language Assistance Plan to assist with removing language barriers so Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals can understand and navigate commission programs and activities on an equal basis.
- The plan will outline clear procedures, responsibilities, and resources for providing language services at all key points of public contact.
- Consultant shall identify what applicable commission programs or activities would have serious consequences to individuals if language barriers prevent a person from benefiting from the activity.
- Consultant shall also determine the impact on LEP populations of delays in the provision of LEP services.
- This may include developing and implementing a public engagement strategy, promoting the revised plan, collecting and analyzing public comments and related data, and incorporating the findings into the final plan revision.
- Consultant shall collaborate with commission staff to support public engagement for the Revised Plan for Special Language Services to LEP Populations, as needed.
