The vendor required to provide interpreters and registered interpreters shall also mean the person providing the language service is employed by or subcontracted to an entity subject to the national center for state courts for interpreting services and translation services.
- Responsibilities
• Perform the work of telephone-based interpreter services for this agreement shall be located in the country.
• Ensure all interpreters utilized to perform the services of the agreement shall have five (5) years of continuous professional interpretation experience.
• Provide interpreter services, Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PT and, if needed, during other days and hours.
• Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to maintain a dedicated toll-free telephone line for the provisions of oral multilingual interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) services in a variety of settings involving spoken communications from a source language to the target language as requested by agency.
• Answer all incoming calls within one (1) minute of the call starting to ring.
• Upon receipt of a call from a non-English speaking client for whom there is no bilingual staff in the agency office, or during a hearing, an agency staff person shall call the contractor's toll-free telephone number and 1) identify himself to contractor using the applicable code and 2) ask to be connected to an interpreter who shall then interpret the conversation, or testimony, from the non-English language to english and vice versa.

- Provide on demand interpretation services for other languages, such as those listed below, through the use of multilingual staff and contracted interpretation services providers.
- Provide interpreters with the expertise required for interpretation of legal and administrative hearing or proceedings and for translation of legal documents.
