The Vendor is required to provide third-party administrative services for liability and property claims, as well as workers’ compensation, in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Requirement:
1. Program administration
• Provide full-service claims administration
• Conduct quarterly claims reviews
• Recommend claim processing procedures to ensure quality control and timely reporting
• Coordinate return-to-work efforts with county risk management staff and occupational medicine providers
• Recommend case management and surveillance when appropriate
• Work closely with the county’s workers’ compensation attorneys
• Ensure timely payment of workers’ compensation bills in compliance with applicable laws
• Coordinate with county staff tracking workers’ compensation, liability, and property claims
2. Loss control consulting services
• Identification and mitigation of municipal operational risks
• Injury prevention services
• Hazard inspections and abatement recommendations
• Compliance assistance with state and federal safety regulations
• A detailed cost containment strategy related to property, workers’ compensation and liability losses
• Methods to minimize exposure across property, workers’ compensation, and liability claims
• Customer service and quality control measures
• Assistance in developing a formal loss control policy
• Assistance in identifying potential funding sources for policy development
3. Recordkeeping and loss reporting
• Provide detailed monthly reports by coverage line and department
• Include sample loss reports and workers’ compensation reports in the proposal
• Provide monthly loss fund status reports, including:
o Claims paid
o Claims reserves
o Incurred but not reported (IBNR) reserves
• Provide electronic data access and transfer capabilities upon request.
