The vendor is required to provide exhaust hood system inspection and cleaning services.
- Hoods, grease removal devices, fans, ducts, plenums and other related ventilation related infrastructure and equipment shall be periodically inspected to determine the extent of accumulated grease and oil residue inside the hood ventilation system.
- At the start of the degreasing process, electrical switches that may be accidentally activated shall be locked out.
- All cooking equipment and surrounding apparatus shall be covered prior to commencing the degreasing process.
- Surrounding areas, including floors, shall be clean upon completion.
- The temperature of hot water used for degreasing shall not exceed 212 degrees so as not to damage adjoining laminates, fusible links in the fire suppression system or any components of the hood(s), duct(s) or fan(s).
- Service window: unless otherwise directed, the awarded bidder shall access school board properties between the hours of 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm weekdays, except on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays when all school buildings and the educational services facility are closed.
