- The design will be used to apply for grant funds to carry out the suggested wayfinding aids placement.
- Demonstrate experience conducting wayfinding studies and creating wayfinding improvement plans
- Demonstrate ability to combine creative place making and practicality in the creation of a plan for installation of wayfinding aids
- The outcome of the wayfinding study will inform future projects such as safety improvements at intersections and park upgrades.
- Enhanced wayfinding aids will help community members and visiting bus riders, especially those making use of the PRT bus bike racks, find and access the gap trail and the park, encouraging more exercise, better mobility, and improved health.
- Trail users will be encouraged to visit city amenities and businesses as a stop on their walk or ride, bringing economic development to the city.
- Increased activity will encourage the development of more local businesses for this designated distressed community.
