The Vendor is required to provide to the President and will be responsible and accountable for the executive leadership and direction of the flagship campus including complete oversight of the university programs, budget and operations.
- Services of a company is being sought to assist the president with the development, recruitment and selection process for this key position.
- Develop an understanding of the University’s vision and operation in academic planning and policy; research initiatives; enrollment and student success; and business and other university operations;
- Establish a clear focus of the search efforts to ensure that the best suited and most successful candidates are included as part of the search process.
- Encourage and actively recruit the highest caliber of applicants and nominees, and prepare background materials, as needed, on these candidates for review;
- Provide support and information to potential candidates to ensure continued interest in the position in a safe and confidential environment;
- Ensure that the applications and nominations submitted are complete and available for review in compliance with published application process requirements;
- Assist in narrowing the pool of applicants and nominees, and arranging and participating in interviews, if feasible, with the preliminary list of candidates. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with the logistics of videoconference interviews and developing suggested questions and rating sheets for review.
- Create a master list and background documentation of qualified individuals as possible candidates for videoconference interviews. A more in-depth verbal presentation of these candidates shall be provided;
- Assistance with the arrangements and logistics of videoconference interviews or equivalent as determined;
- Assistance with the development of documents, questions, and evaluation criteria and forms for the review of the candidates; and
- Provide information from directed references on each preliminary candidate interviewed.
- Provide services in further narrowing the pool of applicants and nominees, and provide coordination and logistics assistance in arranging for personal interviews with those finalists being considered for this phase.
- This shall include, but is not limited to, coordinating travel, related logistics and interview schedules, providing assistance as needed with the interviews of the selected candidates, and conducting non-directed reference and other background checks.
- Assist with other search and appointment related materials and documentation.
- Provide the president and/or president’s designee(s) with directed and no directed reference reports on each of the finalists brought to the university for on-campus interviews, and, upon direction from the President and/or President’s designee(s), conduct further background checks that include, but are not limited to, credit/financial report, criminal record, employment verifications, educational verifications, and professional license verification.
