The vendor is required to provide a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient cancer treatment services, as well as a wide variety of cancer research, education, and prevention activities, on a local, national, and international scale.
- Provide to develop a communication and resolution program (CRP) for designated staff members to utilize in the event of an unexpected serious safety event.
- The CMS patient safety structural measures require that hospitals have a defined, evidence-based CRP for serious safety events that contains the following elements: harm event identification; open and ongoing communication with patients and families about harm events; event investigation, prevention and learning; care-for-the-caregiver; financial and non-financial reconciliation; patient-family engagement and notification to the board of directors.
- Define and develop a sustainable Communication/Resolution Program that will:
• Design a roadmap and methodology for implementing a CRP at Roswell Park.
• Develop and deliver CRP training to select physician champions and clinical leaders.
• Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to track success of the program.
