Women Infants and Children Modernization Strategic Plan Services

The Vendor is required to provide the women, infants, and children (WIC) modernization grant awarded may 22, 2023, through the united states department of agriculture (USDA) federal nutrition service (FNS).
- Recommendations for up to five (5) videos that will be helpful for participants, WIC staff, and WIC vendors in understanding the program and how to use benefits.
- Recommendations on direction for online shopping based on projects by the center for nutrition and health impact and others. 
•    The pros and cons of a minimum of three (3) different WIC online shopping methods.
•    A gap analysis.
•    Implementation steps, costs, and timelines.
•    Lessons learned from other online shopping projects.
•    Management information system (MIS) requirements, considerations, and recommendations.
•    A communications plan.
- Recommendations for a client portal.
•    The pros and cons of a minimum of three (3) different client portal options, including vendors the department currently works with.
•    A gap analysis.
•    Implementation steps, costs, and timelines.
•    Lessons learned from other states that have implemented client portals.
•    MIS requirements, considerations, and recommendations.
•    A communications plan.
- Creation of a shared calendar or other tool for the department to collaborate with and review what teams are working on.
- Recommendations of best practices based in human-centered design theory.
- Other items identified in the needs assessment as high priority to improve the WIC experience for local agencies and participants.
