Media Monitoring and List Management Services

The vendor is required to provide media monitoring and public relations distribution system that will provide the contact database, capture the university’s media coverage in all mediums, distribute content to those contacts and report on all activities.
a. Required media monitoring capabilities:
•    View mentions of USC in the news
•    Filtered breakouts by our colleges and schools
b. Required analytics capabilities:
•    Track hits by these media on a daily basis
o    Television
o    Online news
o    Print news
o    Social media
o    Blogs
o    Forums
o    Podcasts
•    View the number of impressions (audience)
•    Estimates of media value by market, outlet and overall
•    Customizable tiers for tracking placements by media markets and outlets
•    View the number of mentions by market and outlet
•    Access to posts, stories, and tv clips
•    Downloads of editable tv clips
•    Ability to pull and export reports via email and downloads
•    Able to receive real-time information about articles and media discussion around the university
•    Ability to quickly pull together stories, reports and data to share with the university communications team as well as university leadership
c. Required media database capabilities
•    An update to date access to north american media contacts
•    Contacts should be searchable by DMA, news outlet, medium, and coverage topics
•    Notifications when media contact changes and what contacts are covering
•    Ability to claim individual journalists
d. Required media distribution capabilities
•    An online portal where we can manage and distribute content to our lists
•    Ability to add new distribution lists and edit existing lists
•    Ability to export distribution lists
•    Ability to import data (news mentions and distribution lists)
•    Ability to create release templates
•    Ability to add attachments
•    Ability to schedule future distributions
•    Confirmation of successful distribution to lists
•    Ability to individually send customizable pitches to journalists through the online portal.
