Strategic Communications Services

The Vendor is required to provide a strategic communications partner to provide expert coaching, media strategy, and high-level guidance throughout the 2025–2026 school year to provide supplemental services due to staff reductions.
- Provider will work in close collaboration with district internal communications team and cabinet leadership team to support critical district initiatives and elevate organizational messaging. 
- The work will require both virtual and on-site engagement.
- Strategic Communications Coaching
•    Provide individual coaching sessions for communications team members focused on:
o    Message development
o    Routine, school-based crisis events
o    Project-based communication
o    Media relations and spokesperson preparation
•    Offer feedback and capacity-building support to strengthen communications systems and practices.
- Strategic Guidance and Advisory Services
•    Serve as a trusted advisor to the communications team members and the Superintendent's Cabinet.
•    Offer proactive counsel on communications approaches for high-profile and high-risk topics.
•    Participate in regular strategic planning sessions and provide input/add capacity on internal and external messaging.
- Media Strategy and Execution Support
•    Develop and advise on media strategies for major district initiatives or issues, including:
o    Media statements
o    Key message framing and talking points
o    Media outreach and interview preparation
•    Support reactive media relations when necessary, including routine, school-based crisis communication.
- Communications Planning for Key District Initiatives
•    Partner with the internal team to develop comprehensive communications for major district-wide initiatives during the 2025–2026 school year.
•    Collaborate on communication timelines and stakeholder mapping.
- On-Site Presence and Engagement
•    Attend meetings on-site/in-person up to 15 hours per month.
•    Participate in key in-person events or engagements where communication guidance is required.
