The Vendor is required to provide organizations to operate and manage the city zoo marketing program, in coordination with the city zoo.
- Candidates to work with the zoo to develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy based on market research and identified target audiences.
- The ideal contractor will work with the zoo to guide all marketing efforts and ensure integration with the overarching communications and marketing strategy to build brand recognition, enhance the organizational reputation, generate attendance and revenue, and further the mission and vision of the organization.
- Conduct or facilitate market research as needed and/or analyze existing available market research and data to identify key audiences.
- This research will include the use of zip code data collected, visitor and community surveys, and other existing data available to establish baseline audience demographics.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, integrated, targeted paid advertising plan and buying strategy based on available data and market research.
- Marketing strategy may include, but is not limited to, out-of-home (ooh), television/radio, streaming, mobile, etc. but must be tailored to work within budgetary limitations.
- Identify and include strategy for reaching cultural communities in the greater city area through traditional and non-traditional channels.
- Develop and produce attendance driving creative that is in line with the mission and priorities of the zoo.
- Develop and produce attendance driving creative for public events at the zoo.
- Support advertising and social media content production with graphic arts and video editing as needed.
- Identify promotional marketing partners and opportunities and execute promotional tactics.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and tactics that support public events programming including daytime events, nighttime ticketed events, seasonal events, and other special programming.
- Generate ideas for and collaborate on conceptual streams of social media content that is in line with and will further the mission and vision of the zoo.
- Generate and analyze metrics and provide reports on the effectiveness of all marketing activities and social media.
- Create html marketing and informational emails and use an email distribution system to send to the zoo’s membership, ticket buyer, and other databases.
- Identify subject matter relevant influencers for development of a strategic, targeted online influencer program.
- Assist with other relevant marketing activities as needed and directed by the zoo.
