The vendor is required to provide brand development services to develop a comprehensive brand and style guide to support the county’s economic development initiatives.
1. Discovery and research
• Conduct interviews with the development team to understand goals, target audiences, and the county's vision and values.
• Review existing marketing materials, brand assets (if any), and communication channels.
• Conduct a basic competitive landscape and brand audit to assess how similar rural regions position themselves.
2. Brand strategy development
• Develop a brand positioning statement, value proposition, and key messaging pillars.
• Define core brand attributes (e.g., personality, tone, voice).
• Identify target audience segments and alignment of messaging strategies.
3. Visual identity system
• Design of logo(s), including full-color, black-and-white, and alternate formats.
• Define brand color palette, typography system, iconography, and graphic treatments.
• Provide sample applications (e.g., business cards, stationery, social media, signage, presentation slides).
4. Style guide document
• Assemble all brand elements into a cohesive, user-friendly brand and style guide.
• Include clear rules for usage of logos, colors, typography, tone of voice, photography, and brand applications.
• Include clear rules for use in conjunction with the WNY wilds brand (and others as applicable).
• Provide templates or layouts for common use cases (e.g., flyers, social media posts, press releases, email headers).
5. Training and handoff
• Conduct a presentation or training session for county staff.
• Provide guidance for implementing the brand across all internal and external materials.
