The Vendor is required to provide lobbying and government relations services on its behalf.
- Services include:
• Develop and implement a government relations strategy for the board that is focused on obtaining funding for board capital projects.
• Assist the board with identifying potential funding sources or resources at all levels of government.
• Provide strategic consultation and planning assistance to the board with respect to government relations. This will include assisting in developing support from stakeholders for board initiatives in the form of letters of support or other actions.
• Represent the board and advocate for its interests with the governor’s office, legislature, and state agencies.
• Monitor legislation, regulations, and executive actions that may be significant to the board and advise the board on how to advance its interests with respect to these.
• Meet routinely with board staff and attend meetings with board members as required.
• Prepare documents and briefing materials as needed.
• Prepare oral or written testimony if required before committees or subcommittees of the legislature.
• Assist the board in preparing any necessary lobbying registration and reporting documents, and properly and accurately report the firm’s own activities.
