- We accomplish this through:
• Conducting and supporting research to inform evidence-based decision-making.
• Hosting forums and briefings to encourage deliberative dialogue and policy development.
• Developing briefs and other materials for the legislature to support informed policymaking.
• Engaging in outreach and public education to build community understanding and involvement.
- Communications Plan
• The communications plan will provide the framework for activities for the forum over the course of a year.
• The communication plan should identify and strategically incorporate optimal mediums for different audiences.
• Produce strategic communications plan outlining goals, key messages, audience segmentation, communication channels, and timelines for outreach.
- Website Redesign for fund
• Update the agency website for improved viability and engagement.
• Provide content communication training to agency staff and assist in content management, but will not be solely responsible for maintaining content.
• The primary activities for this task will be updating the WordPress website with timely and engaging material.
• The updated website will serve as a modern, accessible, and engaging platform to effectively communicate agency mission, research, and energy industry-relevant information to its target audience.
• Summary of an audit of existing content to identify relevancy, gaps, and updates needed.
• Create a sitemap and wireframes to organize content logically.
• Produce updated content for the website, including recent research conducted by agency, and news articles on relevant events in the industry, especially local agencies on a quarterly basis.
• Develop a tailored Search Engine Optimization strategy plan for agency in order to enhance usage.
- Email/Newsletter Design and Campaign
• Create user-friendly templates for recurring use.
• Design newsletter templates with professional graphic elements.
• Create an editorial calendar to organize topics, themes, and timelines for newsletters. Prioritize timely and relevant information about research updates, forum activities, legislative developments, and industry trends.
• Create layout and design visually appealing, mobile-responsive templates that align with the agency branding guidelines.
• Incorporate images, infographics, and links to enhance readability and engagement.
• Maintain consistency in delivery frequency to establish reliability and expectation among readers.
- Copy, edit, and write content as needed. Summarize content when necessary to improve readability and applicability to various audiences, specifically technical, policy driven contexts and for the general public.
- Create infographics where possible to summarize information.
- Graphic Design of Collateral
• Design professional graphics and infographics, photos, and imagery to be used with agency and agency materials and collateral, on agency website, LinkedIn, newsletters, briefings, and reports.
• Design and produce graphics and photography for a variety of materials and channels, such as brochures, flyers, website, social media, newsletters, reports.
• Design digital assets like infographics, email templates, website visuals, and presentation decks that summarize information and research.
• Update existing materials to align with refreshed branding or campaign themes.
• Tailor messages visually for different channels, such as professional reports versus newsletters.
- The materials should get the attention of lawmakers, generate awareness and support for the policies or initiatives that will be discussed, and position the organization as a credible and knowledgeable resource on the topics that will be presented at the conference.
- The campaign will need to attract attendance by targeted legislators and stakeholders, by providing clear and engaging materials.
- The objectives of the PR campaign for the legislative briefing are to effectively communicate key messages and reasons why legislators and stakeholders should attend the one-day event.
- Develop material to market the event through email campaigns and newsletters.
- Create a professional slide deck template for the briefing.
