The vendor required to provide marketing and communications is leading the core storytelling, marketing and communications strategy for the centennial.
- Marketing and creative services department will be a critical partner for providing guidance and support throughout the project.
- Overall strategy:
• Review uh centennial strategy, storytelling and plans as set by division of university marketing and communications
• Review existing brand guidelines and materials, marketing assets, communications materials
• Develop overall strategy and approach for video assets and activation
• Create a timeline and budget
- Concept development:
• Include recommendations for original footage vs. archival and existing footage.
• The videos will need to include a very strong, bold execution to articulate agency current impact and excitement for the next 100 years.
• Strong storytelling, innovative approach, bold tone and compelling visuals with stopping power are essential for the video assets.
• Include recommendations for managing activation throughout centennial year and beyond, engaging with a variety of audiences and integrating the activation with overall centennial celebrations and events.
• The final activation should bring to life university story and invite audiences to learn more and interact even further.
• The execution may live on beyond the centennial year and continue to strengthen the brand story for future audiences.
• There is an expectation that both the video and activation will be memorable, impactful, innovative and make a lasting impression on audiences.
- Production:
• Pre-production (scripting, shot list development, talent and casting recommendations and coordination, location scouting, schedule, securing permits and licenses)
• Production (principal filming, b-roll filming, coordinate travel and location logistics)
• Post-production (editing, color correcting, graphics and animation, sound editing, music licensing, captioning and cut downs)
- Provide the management production, fabrication, installation, review and strategy for ongoing management.
- The agency will likely not manage the activation in perpetuity, but should recommend the best way to continue supporting the activation throughout the centennial year and long-term, if needed.
