The vendor required to provide multimedia production workshop aimed at providing hands-on training, mentorship, and positive developmental opportunities for department participants, with a focus on at-risk youth.
- Objectives
• Provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for at-risk youth.
• Offer high-quality, hands-on experiential learning and instruction in various aspects of multimedia production with state-of-the-art equipment to include, but not limited to, camera bodies, lenses, follow focus, monitors, gimbals, jibs, lighting units, stingers, reflectors, lighting gels, field audios recorders, shotgun microphones, booms, xlr cables, lavalier (lav) microphones, computers, and post production software.
• Mentor participants in the completion of short-form media projects (e.g., psas, short documentaries, narrative films, community news segments).
• Facilitate pathways for participants to showcase their work to the community and potential employers and educators.
• Achieve measurable positive outcomes in participant engagement, skill acquisition, and future readiness.
- Curriculum and program design
1. Curriculum development:
• Script writing, story development and breakdown
o Brainstorming show concepts
o Developing storylines and interview topics
• Assigning crew roles and talent casting
o Assigning production roles (camera operator, editor, sound engineer, director, etc.)
o Casting student hosts and guests
• Performance and production of crew training
o Technical training on specialized equipment (cameras, lighting and sound)
o Performance coaching
• On camera rehearsal
o Refining technical operations
o Practicing live takes and scripted segments
• Costume and set design
• Constructing sets and preparing wardrobe
• Production shoot
o Filming an episode of a multimedia series designed to inspire today's youth. each episode should dramatize social and cultural topics through music, dance, song, acting and storytelling.
o Capturing behind the scenes content
• Post-production techniques
• Editing, marketing and distribution
2. Learning outcomes:
• Define clear, measurable learning outcomes for both technical skills and social-emotional development.
3. Facility and equipment plan:
• Provide a detailed plan for the use and maintenance of the designated rap facility.
• The contractor’s plan for providing necessary equipment.
