RFP Description

The vendor required to provide public seating and bench advertising program for the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, and removal of public benches, funded through advertising displayed on the benches, at no cost to the city.
- Requirement:
1. Bench design and installation
•    Provide durable benches constructed of concrete, wood, recycled plastic, or comparable materials suitable for outdoor public use.
•    Install benches at locations approved by the city. 
•    Attachment a lists current bench locations; however, bench locations are subject to change at the city's discretion based on operational, safety, or community needs.
•    Ensure all benches comply with ADA requirements and applicable safety standards.
2. Advertising program
•    Fund the program through the sale of advertising displayed on benches.
•    Restrict advertising to the backrest area of the bench only.
•    Ensure advertising content complies with city standards, community decency standards, and all applicable laws.
3. Maintenance and repair
•    Maintain all benches in a clean, safe, and structurally sound condition.
•    Repair or replace damaged benches promptly at no cost to the city.
•    Remove benches upon city request or if required for public safety.
•    At its sole cost, the selected vendor shall also be responsible for routine cleanup of litter, debris, and other refuse within the immediate surrounding area of each bench, including trash generated by bench use or advertising.
4. Insurance and indemnification
•    Maintain required insurance coverage, including general liability insurance.
•    Name the city as an additional insured,
•    Indemnify and hold harmless the city from claims arising from program operations.
5. Program management
•    Coordinate with city staff on bench placement, relocation, or removal.
•    Provide a designated program manager as the primary point of contact.
•    Comply with all city ordinances, policies, and applicable state and federal laws.
