The Vendor is required to provide outreach firms or teams to plan and execute high-quality community engagement that builds understanding and support for agency programs, service planning, and capital projects.
- The goal is to deliver meaningful, inclusive engagement that captures public input, reflects diverse community perspectives, strengthens rider and stakeholder confidence in agency services and ensures compliance with agency Title VI Program and federal outreach requirements for capital projects.
- The consultant will provide outreach capacity and logistics; recruit, hire, train, and manage their own street teams and ambassadors; and coordinate with agency staff and brand/PR partners to support the agency’s engagement calendar.
- Community Outreach and Street Team Management:
o Provide, hire, and manage street teams/ambassadors to support community engagement, with a focus on reaching underrepresented populations.
o In coordination with agency Community Engagement Team, establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations to recruit and retain a diverse ambassador pool.
o Develop and deliver a consistent training program for outreach workers (managed by the consultant) to ensure high-quality, consistent field engagement and data collection.
- Plan and staff community engagement activities tied to agency projects and initiatives (e.g., pop-ups, town halls, open houses, corridor walks, rider intercepts).
- Lead event planning (location coordination, permits, materials, multilingual access, ADA considerations) and contractor staff scheduling.
