The Vendor is required to provide produce engaging video content and manage its distribution on official city social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and tiktok).
- To increase public awareness, promote city services and initiatives, and foster positive community engagement through high-quality, visually appealing, and informative short form video content.
- Video content has been identified as a key medium to achieve higher reach and engagement across digital platforms.
- Responsible for the full lifecycle of video content creation and social media management, including but not limited to the following:
1. Content strategy and planning
• Monthly content meetings: participate in a monthly planning meeting with the city’s communications team to review strategy, discuss upcoming events and initiatives, and finalize a content calendar.
• Concept development: propose creative concepts and storyboards for a minimum of 25 videos per month, aligned with the city’s messaging goals.
2. Video production
• Filming and taping: provide all necessary professional equipment and personnel (e.g., camera operator, sound technician, director) to film on-location within the city.
• Filming locations may include city hall, parks, community events, and various department facilities.
• Editing and post-production: perform professional video editing, color correction, sound mixing, and graphic integration (e.g., lower thirds, city logo, branded end screens).
• Format adaptation: deliver videos optimized for various social media platforms (e.g., 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Instagram reels and tiktok, and 1:1 for Facebook posts).
• Accessibility: ensure all videos include accurate captions and subtitles for accessibility (ADA compliance).
3. Social media management and posting
• Posting: execute timely posting of all finished video content to the agreed-upon social media channels, including writing compelling, SEO-friendly descriptions, titles, and appropriate hashtags.
• Engagement monitoring: monitor comments and direct messages on posted video content during regular business hours and flag urgent issues and questions to the city’s team for response.
