The Vendor is required to provide strategic communications support services for include:
1. Earned media and strategic communications counsel
• Work collaboratively with university leadership and staff to provide strategic media relations guidance to the organization to strengthen the organization’s visibility and reputation and to advance the adoption and success of strategic initiatives
• Perform media relations outreach as needed and appropriate to grow positive earned media coverage for university
• Develop materials for earned media as needed and requested, including but not limited to press releases, message frameworks, interview prep materials, etc. that align with university strategic goals and that clearly drive message to target audiences
• Elevate university media profile and presence
• Assess and measure reach/impact/value of earned media, and provide feedback to university
• Advise on reputation management
• Provide proactive and reactive guidance including scenario planning
2. Brand communications
• Work collaboratively with university leadership and staff to provide guidance on the organization’s brand communications strategy to strengthen university visibility and reputation, and to advance the adoption and success of strategic initiatives
• Develop brand communications materials as needed and requested that align with university strategic goals and that clearly drive message to target audiences
3. Crisis communications and issues management
• Develop crisis plans and playbooks, internal guidance, and other related content
• Produce communications and recommend communications strategies surrounding payer negotiations
• Monitor and advise on emerging trends
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders on messaging for the university workforce and the workforces of current and future healthcare providers that may become part of the university community network, including communications for clinical health staff
4. Executive positioning and thought leadership
• Identify thought leadership opportunities
• Draft speeches, articles, statements, etc.
• Provide media and message training.
