The Vendor is required to provide on-call public relations and communications support for the airport.
- Respondent is expected to develop communications strategies, develop content and communications for public information, social media, digital content, speeches, and talking points that build the reputation and help promote the programs of the airports to media, airlines, industry stakeholders and the general public.
- Key outcomes of the communications support and strategies include:
• Increases the brand awareness of the Department and its key programs
• Increase employee awareness of key communications
• Supports ongoing social media strategic messaging and outreach that increases the favorability of the Department and positive rankings
• Grows audience and followers of airport communications and social channels
• Supports growing media coverage of airport activities and events.
- These services shall include, but not be limited to:
• Writing and editing capabilities for public relations, media relations, customer relations, community affairs, booklets, flyers, print ads, speeches, scripts, digital emails, web content, news releases, and advertising and other special project materials.
• Create position and briefing papers specified by aviation.
• Preparation and implementation of a social media strategy development with the demonstrated capability to actively maintain information dissemination to the public. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to respond in a timely fashion.
• Direct video and television production, scripts and related support as needed.
• Direct special events planning, logistics and support.
• As assigned, serve as the airports liaison with the media; receive queries from the press concerning various airport activities;
• Ability to respond to press queries and airport issues in a timely fashion at the direction of aviation.
• Meet with representatives of community groups within the city and in communities surrounding the airport to discuss airport programs and their potential impact on the surrounding area.
• Develop public interest and participation in airport programs
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with the representatives of the press, radio, and television, city officials, community groups, outreach programs and airlines.
• Create focus groups for test branding and qualify information in a manner suitable for developing public relations or advertising strategy.
• If requested, coordinate any required printing services with contracted printer. Provide direct printing services if needed.
• Monitor the media for relevant stories. Then compile reports as requested and share them with the communications office to inform them of the work of stakeholders and peer institutions.
