State Government Relations Services

The Vendor is required to provide state-level government relations and advocacy services in support of the Utility’s legislative and regulatory priorities.
- Services include:
• Track bill progress from introduction to committee hearings, amendments and final votes.
• Maintain a legislative calendar with key deadlines, hearing dates relevant to water, wastewater, storm water and other municipal government matters.
• Follow League policy priorities and positions to keep agency informed of municipal legislation that could impact the utility.
• Provide strategic options and recommendations, including advocacy positions or partnerships with peer utilities, municipalities or associations.
• Distribute regular customized updates or bulletins to agency executive leadership throughout the legislative session.
