The Vendor is required to provide one self-supported, shielded, walk-in public safety communications shelter with an integrated solar shelter base, anchoring/ballast system, grounding provisions, electrical and cable entry systems, equipment rack accommodations, ventilation, lighting, and accessories
- The shelter shall be suitable for remote public safety radio communications equipment and shall provide protection against lightning.
- The shelter must protect sensitive communications and electronic equipment from lightning, EMI, RFI, and PIM, provide durable all-weather construction, and allow installation with minimal site disturbance.
- The County’s intended configuration is an approximately 8 ft. x 16 ft. x 8 ft. walk-in shelter with integrated support for a remote solar array/base and a selfs supported anchoring system using ballast, Ufer-grounded concrete pads, and manual lift jacks.
- The system shall include:
• One (1) approximately 8 ft x 16 ft x 8 ft walk-in shielded enclosure; all-welded unibody aluminum construction;
• Minimum 2-inch insulation in walls and ceiling finished with white FRP or equivalent noncorrosive interior wall/ceiling finish;
• Interlocking rubber mat floor with aluminum trim; overhead unistrut or equivalent supports for cable tray and equipment mounting;
• Six (6) 19-inch equipment racks;
• Rack-mounted bus bars;
• Ac/dc layout provisions;
• Six (6) 120 v duplex convenience outlets;
• Six (6) interior led lights and one (1) exterior led light;
• Fire extinguisher;
• First aid kit;
• Passive ventilation with honeycomb EMI filters and weather shrouds;
• Dual ac/dc filtered or shielded power entry;
• Twelve (12) cable entry ports;
• Five (5) shielded cable entry glands;
• Six (6) cable entry covers;
• One (1) large telecommunications/data entry box;
• Four (4) long outriggers or engineered equivalent;
• Ninety-six (96) ballast plates or engineered equivalent ballast package;
• Six (6) ufer-grounded concrete pads;
• Six (6) manual shelter lift jacks;
• Integrated solar shelter base, solar mounting frame, and hardware;
• Three (3) additional manual lift jacks with three (3) additional Ufer-grounded concrete pads for the solar base.
