The Vendor is required to provide for a public relations firm’s services to promote the College, with both traditional and nontraditional media companies at a national level.
- The primary issues to be addressed are:
• Bolster awareness and brand building
• Increase visibility of the institution
- Provide media training for national news media, if and when needed.
- Increase earned media opportunities in publications, both print and online, outside of the State
- Provide an effective public relations strategy for gaining coverage in the following:
• Higher education–related publications and media (both traditional and online)
• Penetration in out-of-state markets, specifically state
• Monitor trends in higher education media and make recommendations for College administrators to be thought leaders
• Represent the College, as requested, at meetings or events.
• Advise the College on an appropriate strategy for how to best engage the College with media partners.
• Provide expertise in higher education crisis communications, including strategic counsel, media relations, stakeholder messaging, reputation management, and support during high-profile or rapidly evolving situations.
• Facilitate meetings and foster better partnerships with key journalists and editors in higher education media.
