The Vendor is required to provide to develop outreach and marketing campaigns to promote the “don't pack a pest!” program (DPAP).
- Past marketing work has included:
• Marketing campaigns with ads on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube;
• Radio advertising; and
• Outdoor billboards.
- Performs a wide variety of regulatory, nutrition, economic development, and marketing activities, such as:
• Regulating the production and transport of agricultural commodities and reviewing commodity board budgets;
• Administering numerous federal and state nutrition assistance programs for children and adults;
• Regulating agriculture-related activities in the marketplace to protect consumers, such as retail package content and weighting device calibration and the registration and use of agricultural, residential, and commercial site pesticide applications;
• Providing financial assistance for agribusinesses and rural enterprises, rural healthcare facilities, and community infrastructure projects to promote economic development in rural state; and
• Promoting state agricultural and rural products locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Media Campaign Flowchart
• Develop a media campaign flowchart (placement/project schedule) that will show all marketing tactics, expected metrics at the end of the campaign, target audience, area/ zip codes and start and end dates, and cost of each tactic;
• Markets (specific zip codes, statewide, rural and urban areas) and a recommended designated market area (DMA) list that reaches target audiences across state;
• Marketing tactics (print, mobile, etc.);
• Budget for each tactic and final total budget;
• Start and end dates/placement timeframe;
• Total impressions (how many people will the marketing tactic reach);
• Frequency guarantees; and
• Due date: within 90 days of contract execution.
- Creative Development:
• Core campaign tagline and messaging themes;
• Educational component;
• Why declaring agricultural items protects crops and livestock;
• Potential penalties for failure to declare;
• Due date: 45 days after contract execution.
