The Vendor is required to provide public communications services to support city initiatives on an as-needed basis.
1. General communications assistance
• Strategic communications planning
• Media relations, news releases, and media outreach
• Social media content development and platform management
• Website and newsletter content development
• Graphic design services (flyers, banners, informational materials) consistent with city branding
• Public engagement support, including survey design and stakeholder coordination
• Crisis and emergency communications support
• Spanish translation services, written and verbal
2. Ballot measure strategy and outreach
• Development and execution of a public education and outreach strategy in support of city ballot measures, including informational materials, community and stakeholder outreach, public meeting support, and media coordination.
• All work performed under this item must comply with state government code, which permits the expenditure of public agency funds only for accurate, fair, and impartial information about a ballot measure’s effects on city activities, operations, or policies, and prohibits the use of public funds to expressly advocate for or against a measure.
