The Vendor is required to provide sales and marketing services for global meetings, conventions, and incentives (MCI) for the agency.
• Develop and implement a long-term vision and strategic roadmap for global MCI for the, including defined strategies and annual milestones aligned with authority 2026–2030 strategic plan.
• Markets may be identified and proposed for authority approval.
• Align the MCI strategy with department priority economic growth clusters to attract conferences and meeting attendees, supporting broader business objectives.

• Develop and implement a global MCI marketing and management plan to drive citywide bookings for the convention center for 2028 and beyond, with an immediate focus on securing business for 2028 and 2029 following its re-opening in 2028.
• Develop and execute a global MCI marketing and management plan for single property bookings across for 2027 and beyond.
• Programs and activities shall align with the authority MCI brand guidelines.
• Educate MCI clients on unique offerings, promote safe, respectful, and mindful travel, and encourage participation in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
• Identify and secure an appropriate level of citywide events and incentive groups for the center to remain competitive and contribute to center profitability.
• Deploy a dedicated sales team to secure bookings for both citywide and single property business, and to build and strengthen a network of relationships with MCI customers, including associations, meeting planner organizations, and other relevant groups.
• Strategically utilize the marketing flexibility fund (MFF) to secure citywide event bookings.

• Develop and implement an airline incentive program beginning in the second contract period.
• Develop and execute an annual meeting planner golf tournament beginning in the second contract period.
• Manage, maintain, and update meethawaii.com to ensure accuracy, accessibility, usability, ADA title ii compliance, and adherence to data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Develop a communication plan to rebuild meeting planner confidence and support the center full reopening in 2028 following renovation.
• Support the authority in crisis communications for the visitor industry, helping to mitigate negative impacts on the destination’s brand image.
• Ensure that initiatives are metric-driven.
