The Vendor is required to provide outreach plan is funded through a grant intended to support increased public engagement and outreach activities related to watershed health, stream management, aquatic ecosystem conditions, and collaborative watershed stewardship.
- Requirement:
1. Project initiation and coordination
• Participate in a kickoff meeting with cooperative representatives;
• Develop a project schedule and communication process;
• Coordinate regularly with cooperative staff and committee members;
• Coordinate with the grand county stream management plan outreach and website consultant (virga labs), as needed, to ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and public engagement efforts;
• Attend meetings as necessary, either virtually or in person.
2. Existing outreach review and assessment
• Review existing outreach materials, reports, newsletters, presentations, and communication tools;
• Evaluate current outreach strategies and identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities;
• Review relevant background documents associated with cooperative work and mission.
3. Stakeholder and audience engagement
• Identify key target audiences;
• Assess audience awareness, interests, and communication preferences.
4. Outreach plan development
• Outreach goals and objectives;
• Key messaging and communication themes;
• A messaging framework tailored to key audiences, including core messages, supporting messages, and recommended communication approaches for each audience;
• Prioritization of target audiences and identification of the most effective communication method for reaching each audience;
• Recommended outreach strategies and tactics;
• Recommendations regarding staffing, volunteer, consultant, or partner capacity needed to implement outreach plan;
• Recommendations for presentations, tabling events, partnerships, educational outreach, media engagement, and digital communications;
• Recommendations for outreach materials and templates;
• Social media and e-newsletter recommendations;
• Branding and visual communication recommendations, if applicable;
• Implementation priorities and timelines;
• Metrics for evaluating outreach effectiveness.
