The Vendor is required to provide promote tourism services to develop and operate a commercial enterprise intended to serve a public purpose by promoting tourism and enhancing recreational access within the fort area.
- The proposed operation should:
• Promote tourism and recreational opportunities;
• Enhance public access to waterfront amenities;
• Provide safe and efficient visitor services;
• Maintain compatibility with surrounding public park uses; and
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Examples of potential uses may include, but are not limited to:
• Water taxi or ferry services;
• Eco-tourism operations;
• Recreational boating or excursion services;
• Sightseeing or guided tour activities; or
• Other tourism-related commercial operations determined to serve a public purpose.
