- The broker will play a strategic role in delivering and enhancing insurance solutions, risk management, and advisory services for the organization within a sub broker relationship.
- Insurance Placement and Program Management
• Placement and management of insurance coverage for a reciprocal program, including liability, property, automobile, and other lines as required and placement of standalone policies.
• Coordination of annual renewals, premium allocation, and insurer/reinsurer engagement.
• Support for supplementary coverages acquired from the commercial insurance market.
- Strategic Consulting and Program Architecture
• Provision of strategic advice on program structure, reinsurance layers, and cost-efficiency strategies.
• Benchmarking and analysis of municipal insurance programs and emerging risks.
• Recommendations for program enhancements and innovative solutions.
- Market Access and Intelligence
• Direct access to major state insurers and reinsurers (Domestic Markets), as well as specialty markets relevant to municipal and public-sector risks (London Market and Global Market).
• Transparency regarding market access, including direct and subcontractor arrangements.
• Provision of market intelligence, including quarterly trend reports and capacity analyses.
- Actuarial and Analytical Support
• Delivery of actuarial reviews, reserve adequacy assessments, and loss modeling.
• Provision of data-driven insights for forecasting, pricing, and program sustainability.
• Support for analytical reporting and decision-making.
- Claims Advocacy and Management
• Establishment of claims escalation protocols and participation in regular review meetings.
• Advocacy for fair and timely claims resolution on behalf of the organization and its members.
• Reporting on claims performance metrics and identification of improvement opportunities.
- Risk Management and Loss Control Support
• Conducting annual risk assessments and providing tailored recommendations for prevention.
• Delivery of training sessions and educational resources for staff on market trends or product enhancements.

• Creation/ownership of shared plan and support material for market engagement during renewals.

• Assistance in growth strategies to expand membership including support in responding to proposal.
