The Vendor is required to provide a test data management and data fabrication solution.
- Agency is looking to implement a new test data management tool, with an emphasis on data fabrication.
- This will replace our existing tools and processes for protecting sensitive data from our non-production MS SQL server databases.
- Current tools and processes require a lot of manual effort, which we wish to avoid with a new tool.
- These databases include:
• Assembly database environments
• UAT database environments
• Training database environments
• Development database environments
• Microsoft SQL server RDBMS
- Features and information of the Supplier’s solution:
• Its ability of automation for identifying PII or sensitive data types;
• Its ability to maintain data referential integrity with data fabrication;
• Its auditing and analysis capabilities;
• Its ability to generate ephemeral data environments;
• Its features and customization capabilities, such as patterns and algorithms;
• Its ability to integrate with DevOps methodology (ci/cd);
• Its ability to generate fabricated data for application development;
• Its ability to maintain existing application functionality;
• The supplier’s market differentiation amongst competitors;
• Its automation of environment management processes;
• Its data suppression/sub-setting capabilities; and
• Its ability to fabricate real world data.  
• Test data management is the process for data fabrication, as we assume test data management manages all the fake data generated;
• Test data management is a suite of products that data fabrication is just one part of;
• The solutions presented perform both test data management and data fabrication;
• It is more complex to have a tool transform/fabricate existing customer data than it is to generate net new fake data; and
• Any change in data does not affect the application’s functionality.
