The vendor is required to develop web-based portal that will provide corporation’s staff with a consolidated view of financial aid applications, to make application processing more efficient.
- This includes reviewing, updating, and verifying information using supporting documentation and data from multiple data sources; where possible, streamline and automate processes to help make eligibility determination and reporting easier.
- This portal will support processing of financial aid applications by enabling access to new, existing, and historical student records hosted in corporation’s mainframe and SQL server platforms.
- Corporations has a system, but it is outdated and lacks a seamless way to retrieve information.
- This portal will be used by corporation’s grants and scholarships department which manages applications, determines eligibility, and administers payment for all state grant and scholarship programs.
- Programs managed by grants and scholarships include tuition assistance program (TAP); excelsior scholarship; enhanced tuition assistance (eta); science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) incentive scholarship; veterans tuition awards (VTA); get on your feet loan forgiveness program (GOYF); and more than 20 other scholarship and loan forgiveness programs.
- The work will entail not just a redesign but a complete build of how the system functions and serves corporation’s staff.
- By leveraging a modern technology stack, the initiative will create a more scalable, efficient and future-proof platform.
- The goal is to build a user centered system that enhances productivity, reduces inefficiencies and empowers corporation’s staff with streamlined workflows.
- Reducing manual processing may include consolidation of data and databases, standardizing data across systems, or implementing a document management system.
- Corporations will need a partner in looking ahead to establish a framework for processing applications now and in the future, and to create a plan to continuously improve the delivered software over the life of this contract and beyond.
