RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide fire apparatus inspection maintenance and repair services.
- Work will include testing / inspection, maintenance, repair and/or replacement:
• Brake systems.
• Emergency lighting systems.
• Pump systems.
• Diesel engines, transmissions, drive-line, suspension systems, and all associated electronics, sensors, and computer systems.
• Emergency towing.
• Other mechanical work as may be necessary / requested by the fire department.
• Work facility must be able to accommodate firefighting apparatus such as tower platform trucks, ladder trucks, pumper, and rescue vehicles.
• Work facility must have latest revisions of diagnostic programs for gas and diesel engines, and all associated electronics, sensors, and on-board computers.
• Work facility and staff must be capable of performing annual pump testing from a static water tank supply.
• Work facility must be within thirty (30) driving miles of the city.
• Company must have tow vehicle(s) and be licensed as a tow operator by the state department of motor vehicles, or have a contracted vendor to provide such services
• Company must be a licensed business within the state, with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and fire apparatus.
• Company must be capable of providing on-site services as requested.
• Company must be capable of providing on-call emergency service 24 / 7 / 365.
• Company will be required to issue written reports and invoices detailing work completed and itemized pricing.
