The vendor required to provide mobile document destruction require removal and shredding of documents and must ensure the proper disposal of confidential information to meet various state and federal requirements and protect privacy.
- As part of their waste diversion programs, the county is tracking diverted material and requires that the contractor recycle the shredded paper.
- Provided by February 1st of each year, detailing total volume of paper collected each month for all locations serviced in the year prior.
- The frequency of pick-up, number and size of containers needed for all participating county departments prior to the initial delivery of containers.
- On-demand and off-schedule
• Provide additional on-site document destruction, removal and recycling outside of the established schedule in table one and table two on-demand.
• This service will be provided at any location within seventy-two (72) hours of the written request from county.
• The pricing per service per container for each additional on-site document destruction, removal and recycling outside of the established schedule in table one and table two below will be the same as the pricing per service per container for a regularly scheduled service.
• The charge for the on-demand service will be a flat fee associated with the additional travel, fuel, and labor to pick up at this location.
• This fee should be indicated in the appropriate space on the bid schedule.
• No additional charges may be billed for this service.
- One-time shredding request
• County department that typically does not have regular service may request a one-time shredding of a large volume of paper (more than 10 legal size boxes).
• The containers used for a one-time shred will be either legal and record size boxes or 95-gallon containers.
• This service will be provided at any location within 15 business days of the written request from the county.
• The one-time service price per box and container should be indicated in the appropriate space on the bid schedule.
- Policing of shredding area
• The transfer of accumulated material to the shredding area the contractor will be responsible for policing the area, to be sure there is no debris left in the county parking area.
• At no time will bins with un-shredded materials be left unattended.
