The vendor is required to provide to establish a contract for providing weight management program for eligible employee’s retirees, and their dependents.
- Have and operate a full-time, permanent business address with the ability to be reached by email and telephone.
- Provide an affordable weight management program(s) for county active employees, retirees, spouses, and dependent children over the age of eighteen that focuses on scientific based weight management practices.
- Proposer shall document which scientific weight management practices, theories, etc., their program is based on.
- Provide a description of requested product testing or in-person inspection and a description of standards to be met.
- Provide meal planning and nutrition education geared towards the goals of eating healthier.
- Provide a detailed plan for marketing the program to county employees and educating employees on the program and its health benefits.
- Provide staff to attend the annual benefits fair to promote the program.
- Provide a comprehensive weight management plan based on the individual assessment of each employee and retiree and their goals.
- Provide details of the assessment they intend to use, such as physical exams, surveys, lab tests, etc. assessment may be multi-part, and proposer may provide multiple options for members to choose from.
- Provide a plan that is not focused on the purchase of the vendor’s food or supplements.
- Proposer may offer products for sale to employees enrolled in the program as an option, but the products cannot be the foundational basis of the program.
- Enrollees should be able to “work the program” with resources, groceries, supplements, etc. that they can purchase on the open market.
- Provide an opportunity for members to connect in a community, either in a group or virtually.
- Provide coaches to support members in their weight loss journey.
- Provide program data quarterly and annually to human resources staff to track the success of the plan.
- Assign an account manager to work with to assist with program administration.
- Provide online and mobile-based weight management tools such as calorie trackers, healthy recipes, easy exercise videos, etc.
- Awarded vendor(s) may offer devices to enrollees.
- Devices may be offered for sale to employees on an optional basis as long as they are not required in order to successfully participate in the program.
