Municipal Coastal Planning Support Program Services

The vendor is required to provide municipal coastal planning support program services for include:
•    Education, awareness and tools in support of adoption of example text for planning strategies and bylaws 
•    Adopting example text into municipal planning strategies and bylaws 
•    Implementation and public communication
- Requirement:
•    Supporting municipalities in navigating and interpreting coastal and climate data to support them in developing horizontal and vertical setbacks from the coast while also providing for safe development. 
•    Facilitating collaboration and information sharing, and connecting municipalities to resources as they consider the example land use by-law text developed by the province. 
•    Offering decision-making support to municipalities as they decide what coastal risks to manage. 
•    Assisting municipalities to amend their land use planning documents to include regulations related to coastal issues, such as the example land use by-laws developed by the province. 
•    Supporting public meetings related to coastal land use planning. 
•    Developing communication materials related to coastal land use planning. 
•    Providing guidance on addressing public concerns and building community support around coastal land use planning issues. 
•    Supporting coordinated and collaborative coastal land use planning implementation by municipalities.
