The vendor is required to provide competency-based education (CBE) to meet student, faculty, and accreditation needs.
• Complete a survey of bay college students, community and regional needs as they relate to offering effective CBE programming specific to bay college.
• Perform a review and audit of our existing CBE courses and provide recommendations to enhance CBE content and assessments.
• Evaluate our HLC approval to offer CBE based programs and provide a compliance report on our current programs and HLC standards.
• Collaborate with bay college faculty, staff and administration to create a shared understanding of what CBE course designation means at bay college.
• Prepare and present on campus at interactive workshop with faculty and staff that helps orient broadly to the college’s CBE definition.
• Host consultation sessions with online learning at bay college in defining an effective strategy and platform to host CBE courses within the college LMS system of blackboard ultra.
• In collaboration with online learning provide a comparison between a course identified as on-line and a CBE designated course.
• Provide recommendations on expanding our CBE offerings to gen eds and humanities.
• Recommend a plan for a clear internal and external communication and marketing strategy through collaboration with internal college departments.
• Meet with the college president, board of trustees and senior leadership to present findings and recommendations for a sustainable CBE initiative.
• Provide a recommended implementation plan for bay college to update existing CBE programming and a framework for building new CBE programs.
