RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide a customizable ai platform that empowers district staff—and eventually students—to create, train, and utilize artificial intelligence tools for internal educational and operational use.
1. Platform features
• Provide a no-code or low-code interface for users to build and train ai tools.
• Include templates or guided pathways for education-specific ai applications (e.g., lesson planning support, student feedback generators, data analysis assistants).
• Allow for collaborative workspaces where educators and staff can co-develop ai tools.
2. Training and support
• Deliver professional development modules to onboard educators and district leaders with minimal technical background.
• Offer continuous support through live assistance, documentation, and an intuitive help system.
3. Integration and security
• Integrate with existing district systems such as g suite for education, microsoft 365, and district-approved SIS and LMS platforms.
• Preference will be given to platforms that support secure integrations with district systems or offers flexible APIs for future integration.
• The platform ensures data is not stored, trained upon, or exported without explicit district authorization.
• Proposals must include a data governance model/permission structure.
• Require student data never be used to train external models.
• Allow for local control of ai-generated content and data security protocols.
4. Scalability and innovation
• Enable district to pilot with staff and expand ai creation capabilities to student users in future phases.
• Support diverse ai use cases for teaching, learning, operations, and community engagement.
• Include safeguards and moderation tools to ensure safe and ethical use within school settings.
- AI platform implementation is to:
• Equip district educators with intuitive tools to create ai solutions tailored to classroom and school needs.
• Advance the district’s innovation goals while maintaining full data governance and security.
• Encourage staff and student digital fluency through hands-on engagement with ethical ai development.
• Identify scalable models of ai-enhanced learning and operational efficiency within a public k–8 district.
