- Forensic laboratory currently houses instrumentation from multiple vendors; instrument pcs have not been updated since the date of installation, resulting in out of service operating systems, drivers, and security.
- The benefits to networking these instruments/pcs would allow staff access to the network drives, laboratory information management system (LIMS), document control for procedures, and sharing data with other staff.
- The implementation of networked devices within the lab would greatly increase efficiency.
- Describe the methods you use for data indexing, compression and retrieval of data.
- Describe your solution for backup, disaster recovery and/or system failover.
- Describe your pricing model and cost structure.
- Analysts wouldn’t have to wait for one another to be finished with the pc to collect data or start another sample run; more testing and results would be produced creating a smoother workflow for the lab.
