The Vendor is required to provide temporary housing and extended-stay housing services (“housing options”) in hotels, community shelters, or similar accommodations for individuals and families experiencing homelessness on an as-needed basis.
- Hotel options
1. Private room(s) for families
• Family is defined as at least one adult and one or more dependents of any age and partnered adults.
• Families of five or more shall be provided two conjoining rooms, a suite, neighboring rooms, or alternative options that limit family separation.
2. Hotel options shall be furnished with:
• Lighting,
• A desk or table,
• Chairs, and a sofa,
• A refrigerator, and
• A microwave.
• Hotel options shall include a private bathroom stocked with hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner and a towel for each guest.
• Clients shall have access to food delivery services without restriction.
- Community shelter or other similar temporary housing options
• A bed; upon visual inspection, a cot or mat may be acceptable,
• A place to store personal items,
• Lighting, and
• Privacy
• The city understands that community shelters and other similar temporary housing providers may have limited resources and may not be able to provide private rooms; however, at a minimum, and upon visual inspection, community shelter options shall provide clients with privacy using privacy cubes, a partition, or divider.
