The Vendor is required to provide to support a sector wide exploration of modern student information systems (SIS) options for state public post secondary institutions.
- Objectives
• Gather information (market intelligence) regarding potentially interested parties;
• Ascertain viability of the potential solutions by undertaking a high-level screening assessment; and
• Help inform a determination on whether to develop a potential commercial process for agency and if so, the appropriate next steps.
- At a high level, we seek to better understand: available solution approaches (including commercial and open source options), deployment and operating models (e.g., SaaS, hosted, on premise/hybrid) and associated data residency practices, common integration patterns with campus systems (e.g., identity, learning management, finance/HR Admin/CRM, reporting/analytics), implementation considerations and indicative timelines, and potential migration pathways from legacy systems.
- Student Records: Outline capabilities for creating and maintaining student profiles (e.g., Bio demo data and academic), transcript generation, and account hold administration.
- Scheduling: Describe how your solution manages, identifies and displays class and student course schedules and exam schedule. Include how instructors are added to course offerings, and if your solution directly supports or integrates with external solutions for auxiliary functions such as room booking
- Curriculum: Describe how your system manages course catalogs and effective dating.
- Academic Progress: Describe how your solution manages requisites validation, program progression requirements, and degree audit functionality for graduation tracking.
