- Objectives
• Remain up to date with current package tracking software and associated wireless devices and functionalities.
• Continue to increase operational efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Select a vendor who provides flexibility and ability to add and change functionality at a minimal cost.
• Provide and necessary training to the end users, system administrators and technical administrators.
• Ensure software functionality is consistent with regular business hours, 7 am – 5 pm MST, Monday to Friday.
• Utilize wireless barcode scanners and delivery handheld technology to continue operational efficiency.
- Requirements - functional
• 14 handhelds for distribution services (10 main campus, 4 foothills campus)
• 4 four bay cradles (3 main campus, 1 foothills campus)
• 5 scanners (4 main campus,1 foothills campus)
• 3 additional handhelds for satellite locations (biology, kinesiology, chemistry)
• 3 additional one bay cradles for satellite locations (biology, kinesiology, chemistry)
• 3 additional scanners for satellite locations (biology, kinesiology, chemistry)
• Remote access for the integrated service center, and the customs and traffic dept
• All required licenses for the above handhelds and workstations
