The vendor required to provide wander management solution with ongoing support and maintenance services.
- Objectives
• Prevent unauthorized patient wandering
• Ensure real-time monitoring and alerts for staff
• Integrate with existing hospital systems if applicable (electronic health record system, epic and our nurse call system)
• Provide durable and reliable patient devices with tamper alerts.
- Requirement:
1. Implementation of the new wander management system
• Training materials with on-site education are preferred
2. Hardware required for the new system (door sensors and gateways, patient wearables, monitoring devices, etc.)
• Identify the wireless technology used with the platform solution.
• Solution must not interfere with existing wireless connectivity in use within the facility, 2.4, 5, 6ghz
3. Software with management tools or live monitoring tools
• Dashboard with live monitoring
• Real-time alerts
o Specify the alert methods available (preferred approach is audible and visual alarms at or near the door or device and nursing station).
• Reporting capabilities
o Built-in reporting to track alarms and response times are preferred
• Solutions may include real-time location system (optional)
o Access to facility location services will be browser based.
o The number and type of frequency receivers should be noted.
• Configuration of the system and system administrative functions for health users will be performed via web browser.
4. Network diagram and logical data flow
• All respondents will include a physical solution network diagram and logical data flow diagram.
5. Infrastructure changes

6. Support and maintenance
• Ongoing maintenance and technical support.
